Tata Metaliks conducted an auction for 2,430 t (one rake) basic grade pig iron on 3rd Oct. Booking of the entire quantity was done at around INR 31,100/t delivered to Ludhiana’s Batala siding, sources reported to SteelMint. The plant’s annual hot metal production capacity is 500,000 t, out of which 200,000 t is converted into Ductile Iron (DI) pipes and 300,000 t into pig iron.
