India’s Vizag Steel has increased wire rod prices by INR 2,300/t compared to last month, trade sources reported to SteelMint. The current wire rod (SAE 1008) offer for 5.5 mm size is reported at INR 42,400/t, ex-Chennai. The company has rolled over rebar prices and it stands at INR 39,400/t, size 12 mm, ex-Chennai (GST extra). The company produced nearly 5 mn t crude steel in CY’19.
