Domestic melting scrap prices fell by INR 200/t d-o-d basis in Jalna, Maharashtra, owing to continuous downfall in sponge iron prices with limited trades and fall in prices of finished steel. However, in northern and southern India, scrap prices remained almost stable with a marginal decrease of INR 100/t d-o-d. Price stands at INR 23,500/t in Jalna DAP and INR 23,000/t in Chennai DAP.
