Finished flat steel exports by Japan increased by nearly 10% m-o-m to 1.88 mn t during Aug’20, as compared to 1.71 mn t in Jul’20. China and Vietnam remained the top importers recording a monthly increase of 13% and 16%, respectively. However, with recovery in domestic economy, Japanese steelmakers are likely to remain focused more in domestic market.
