Tata Steel BSL- a major integrated steelmaker has recorded iron ore sourcing at 231,851 t in Aug’20, up 14% as against 203,898 t in July’20. Major chunk of sourcing (about 97%) was from its captive mines at 223,948 t, up 10% m-o-m. OMC supplies stood at about 4,053 t followed by Amalgam Steel at 3,850 t. Tata Steel BSL has a steel capacity of 5.6 mn t pa.
