India: Govt taking long to implement vehicle scrappage policy, says JSW chief

JSW Steel supremo Sajjan Jindal took to Twitter recently to express ‘surprise’ that the “unusually proactive government is taking so much time in implementing the Vehicle Scrappage Policy”. Jindal’s comments came at a time the government has assured that a national scrappage policy, aimed at benefitting the auto sector, will be out soon. Referring to the policy, Jindal wrote it was a ‘priority’ during the current ‘economic downturn’.
