Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has awarded the rights for operating the Putulpani Quarry of the PSU miner’s Gandhamardan Block B iron ore mine in Keonjhar district to Gayatri Projects Limited. The INR 33.23 crore project has a production goal of 1 mn t pa, which includes 10-40 mm CLO and -10 mm iron ore fines. OMC’s Gandhamardan-B mine has a lease period till July 2040.
