Russian steel major Novolipiestk Steel (NLMK) has resumed production of iron ore concentrates at its Stoilensky plant with capacity of 8 mn t pa. A conveyor belt accident had forced shutdown of the plant on 7th Sept’20. Earlier-than-scheduled repairs during the shutdown are expected to plug NLMK’s concentrate production shortfall this year. The steel-maker sourced raw materials from its own stocks during the shutdown.
