Domestic melting scrap prices remained almost stable on d-o-d basis, in western and southern India, whereas in northern region, it moved up by INR 200/t following supportive trade activity and price hike in semi-finished steel (ingot/billet). The current trade price is recorded at INR 23,700-24,000/t in Jalna and INR 23,500-23,800/t in Chennai (DAP).
