Domestic melting scrap prices observed a downfall of INR 100-400/t d-o-d in the major scrap consuming markets. The current trade reference price is registered at INR 23,700-24,000 in Jalna and INR 23,500-23,800 in Chennai (DAP). Limited buying inquiries in western region due to heavy rainfall resulted in the price correction in all segments right from raw material (melting scrap) to finished steel.
