Steel Authority of India today conducted an auction for about 5,700 t (2 rakes) pig iron from Bokaro Steel Plant, Jharkhand. As per sources report to SteelMint, the auction received poor participation due to higher base price and hence closed with no bids. Pig iron offers by private mills stand at INR 27,500-700/t exw.
