Sponge prices in Raipur may decline slightly due to limited trades. According to SteelMint’s conversation with 4-5 major sponge plants & brokers,no major deals were reported today & only about 1,000 t sponge P-DRI deals were reported at an average price of INR 19,200-300/t exw, compared to offers at INR 19,400-500/t exw. Resellers were aggressive to deal at around INR 19,000-19,200/t but buyers held back purchases in anticipation of price cut.
