Chhattisgarh-based Godawari Power & Ispat (GPIL) has booked four wire rod (grade SAE 1008) export consignments of 500 t and 1000 t to Mombasa in Africa, 600 t to Sri Lanka and 2600 t to Nepal recently. The prices are $495/t FOB for shipments to Mombasa, $485/t FOB for Sri Lanka and $467/t (loaded to rake) for Nepal. Realisations are slightly better in the export markets, a senior GPIL executive told SteelMint.
