Most of the market players are unable to talk about Re-bar market situation. Market players were expecting improvement in Re-bar market but frequently fluctuation in prices is making uncertainty in market.
Highlights of the previous week
North India: Re-bar offers increased by INR 800-900/MT on W-o-W basis.
East India: Finish market remain unchanged in a week’s time except Rourkela, which is increased by INR 800/MT owing to shortage of raw material and good demand from nearby states.
Central India: On one side, where Re-bar prices increased by INR 500/MT in Raipur, while on other it reduced by INR 100/MT in Indore.
West India: Prices fluctuated in the range of INR 100-200/MT in most of the cities, whereas offers have witnessed a sharp improvement of INR 600/MT W-o-W in Jaipur.
South India: Re-bar prices reduced by INR 200-250/MT in Bangalore & Chennai, while it increased by INR 500/MT in Hyderabad.
Price hike continue in Re-bar gauge difference
Re-rolling mills associations are increasing Re-bar gauge difference one by one. Few days earlier, the increment of about INR 200-600/MT was made by re-rolling mills association of Madhya Pradesh & Wada. Today, Re-bar manufacturers of Maharashtra (Jalna, Nasik & Latur) and Goa also made an increment of INR 400-1,600/MT for Re-bar gauge difference.
