Over 5,000 t confirmed deals of billet have been reported by the central India based suppliers at around INR 29,500/t exw & FoR Raipur basis. Following a rebound in sponge iron price and expected production disturbance for the next couple of days due to Vishwakarma Pooja, the re-rollers have resumed purchase to stock up inventories. Billet price surged by INR 300/t, d-o-d.
