USA: Ferrous scrap exports down 12% in July

Ferrous scrap exports from the US declined 12% m-o-m to 1.21 mn t in Jul’20 as against 1.38 mn t in Jun’20, as per SteelMint statistics. Tighter supplies and low collection rates resulted in less export volumes. Turkey stood the largest importer at 0.37 mn t in Jul’20 followed by Taiwan and Vietnam.
