Rungta Mines & Indrani Patnaik mines based in Odisha have decided to roll over Iron ore prices for the month of February, 2014.
Rungta Mines, one of the largest merchant miners of Iron ore with mining operations in the state of Odisha & Jharkhand of capacity about 12 MnT pa has kept Iron ore prices unchanged for the month of February owing to stable demand.
“Iron ore market is stable at present, and miners are not able to rise prices”, said Source.
Indrani Patnaik, another major miner in Odisha has also kept its Iron ore offers unchanged for February month.
Sources told, “Although the demand is good, but miners are not able to change the prices, because of the restriction by State Government .”
Mines in Odisha are allowed to sell only 50% of the mined Iron ore outside Odisha, rest is to be used inside Odisha.
