Indian bulk HRC export shipments fall 32% m-o-m in Aug’20

Indian bulk HRC export shipments stood at 0.76 mn t in Aug’20, down by 32% as compared to 1.12 mn t in Jul’20, according to bulk HRC data maintained with SteelMint. China remained the largest importer at 0.475 mn t followed by Vietnam 0.142 mn t and UAE at 0.039 mn t. Mills have shifted their focus to domestic sales on tight supply and higher steel prices thus restricting allocations for exports.
