Today, billet prices in the Tangshan market (northeast China) saw a sharp increase of RMB 30, against yesterday, on rising finished steel prices. However, the billet transactions were weak. The prices of commonly traded Q235 billet 150mm diameter were reported at RMB 3,490/t ($510/t) in Tangshan, inclusive of 13 % VAT.
