Western India based pig iron producer – Vedanta conducted a tender yesterday for 2 rakes (equivalent to 4,400 t) of foundry grade pig iron for northern India. It received bids at around INR 30,000/t exw, equivalent to INR 33,600-33,800/t FoR Ludhiana or Delhi, shared sources with SteelMint. Meanwhile, the current offers of foundry grade pig iron Ludhiana & Delhi is hovering at INR 34,000/t FoR.
