Steel Authority of India (SAIL) conducted an auction today for 64,000 t iron ore fines (Fe 61.3%) from its Barsua iron ore mines, Odisha. Out of the total quantity, participants booked 56,000 t at a base price of INR 1,850-1,860/t (loaded to rake, taxes extra), SteelMint learned from credible sources. The company lowered its base price against its last auction held on 20 Aug’20 in which the base price was set at INR 2,000/t.
