India’s finished long steel production up 14% m-o-m in Jul’20

India’s finished long steel (non-alloy) production increased by 14% to 3.69 mn t in Jul’20 against 3.24 mn t in Jun’20. Improved capacity utilization on easing lockdown measures resulted in rise in production. However, production in Jan-Jul’20 drifted down by 28% to 21.23 mn t against Jan-Jul’19 at 29.69 mn t.
