India: Electrosteel Steels puts wire rod mill on maintenance shutdown – sources

Wire rod mill at Electrosteel Steels is undergoing maintenence shut down for two weeks, SteelMint confirmed with trade sources. The mill has been put under maintenance since last week and is expected to resume operations after a week. This would result in total production loss of around 25,000 t. Also, Durgapur based traders has reported shortage of high carbon wire rod from primary mills.
