Tokyo Steel has raised its scrap purchase price further by JPY 500/t ($5), marking 2nd increase in just five days. Prices have moved up for all of its five plants and will be effective from tomorrow (26th Aug ’20). After revision, they would pay JPY 25,500/t ($240) for H2-scrap to Tahara plant and JPY 26,000/t ($245) for Utsunomiya works.
