World crude steel output increased by 3% m-o-m to 152.7 mn t in Jul’20 compared to 148.3 mn t in Jun’20, recent data released by WSA shows. China’s steel output increased by 9% on y-o-y basis to 93.4 mn t in Jul’20 on improved capacity utilization & robust demand. World steel output during Jan-Jul’20 was recorded at 1,027 mn t, down by 5% y-o-y due to pandemic.
