Tata Steel BSL- a major integrated steelmaker with a capacity of 5.6 mn t has recorded iron ore sourcing at 203,898 t in July’20, up 21% as against 168,457 t in June’20. Entire sourcing for the month was from its captive mines. Tata Steel BSL is planning to expand Bhushan steel capacity from 5.6 mn t to 8.3 mn t. They are also planning to enhance production at its captive iron ore mines around Jamshedpur and Kalinganagar.
