According to data published by Vietnam Steel Association, steel consumption in the country fell 9.6% to 12.37 mn t in Jan-Jul’20 compared to same period in 2019. While total production was down 6.7% on year to 13.7 mn t steel exports were recorded at 2.28 mn t – a decline of 19.3% compared to exports during same period last year.
