Ferro Silicon paucity remains in the Indian market as there is less material on offer from Bhutan. The Indian Market has a shortage of Ferro Silicon as Bhutanese producers are exporting most of the material to other nations. This is because exports are free on tax in Bhutan. For this reason, price of Ferro Silicon in the Indian markets remains unbending. In Bhutan Ferro Silicon (grade70-75) is being offered at around INR 78,000 /MT.

In Guwahati Ferro Silicon (grade70-75) is being offered at around INR 76,000 /MT. The buyers of Ferro Silicon are being cautious in their approach, and there is visibly less demand at such price levels. Most of them are holding back purchases hoping for better prices in the days to come. A Meghalaya producer said “I expect the price of Ferro Silicon to remain steady in this month, as there is limited but regular demand.“
SteelMint assessed that in the coming 1-2 weeks Indian Ferro Silicon market may run steadily and the demand in the spot market may stay at current level.
