Vedanta Limited – a major pig iron producer in India has increased its offer for foundry grade pig iron by INR 1,000/t w.e.f today on improved demand. Current offer for the same stands at INR 34,000/t DAP Gujarat, SteelMint learned from market sources. Prior to this, a price hike of INR 1,000/t was reported on 1 Aug. The company has a production capacity of 0.83 mn t pig iron pa.
