India : SAIL’s pig iron auction receives bid higher by INR 3,500/t ($47)

SAIL conducted an auction today for around 4,000 t prime steel grade pig iron from its Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) Chhattisgarh. The auction received good participation as entire material got booked at INR 28,600-29,000/t exw, SteelMint learned from sources. The last auction conducted on 21 Jul’20 for 5,000 t was concluded at around INR 24,700-25,350/t exw.
