Sponge iron (80 FeM, 100% lumps) exports continued to increase due to rally in domestic prices. Offers have moved up by $10/t w-o-w to $280/t CPT Benapole (equivalent to $300/t CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh). However, no fresh deals were reported as bids were reported lower by $15-20/t against prevailing offers. Eastern India domestic sponge prices surged by INR 1,100-1,300/t ($14-16), w-o-w.
