Tokyo Steel has announced hike in its scrap purchase bids by JPY 500/t ($5) today for its Utsunomiya works in Kanto and keeping bid prices unchanged for other regions, effective from tomorrow (5th Aug’ 20). After increase, the company would pay JPY 23,000/t ($ 217) for H2 scrap delivered to Utsunomiya works.
