China’s pellet imports in H1 CY20 were 21.41 mn t – a whopping 79% higher compared to 11.94 mn t during same period last year. India shipped 6.87 mn t against 4.11 mn t during H1 CY20 while Ukraine and Russia jointly exported 7.27 mn t – a staggering over 300% rise on year – primarily due to lack of demand in Europe.
