Tata Steel flagged-off the 1st raw material consignment of ferrous scrap on 24 Jul’20 for trial at its set-to-start steel recycling plant in Rohtak, Haryana. This 0.5 mn t pa capacity scrap processing plant is being set-up in order to streamline the currently unorganised scrap supply chain, lower the dependency on imports, and enhance the transparency and efficiency in the entire value chain.
