As per worldsteel data, Iran produced 13.89 mn t of crude steel during H1 CY20 – a 10.2% rise compared to H1 CY19. The country’s June output stood at 2.43 mn t which was a year-on-year growth of 5.3% against Jun’19. Iran remains the world’s 10th biggest crude steel producer behind Brazil with 14.24 mn t at the ninth position.
