Newcastle Port Corporation, the world’s leading Coking and Non-coking Coal exporter has reported slight jump of 0.89% in Coal shipments during week ended on 20 Jan, 2014.
New castle port has reported that their last week (up to 20 Jan, 2014) shipments have increased by almost 1% in compare to preceding week’s (up to 13 Jan, 2014) report. The week ended on 20 Jan, 2014 port has shipped around 2.7 MnT of Coal.
Till 20 Jan 2014, Newcastle port exported around 7.8 MnT of Coal including Coking & Non-coking Coal. In this month, port authorities are targeting to ship total 12.9 MnT. Whereas, as per port authority actual shipped for current month plus projected balance from Coal terminal would ship around 12.8 MnT of Coal which is slightly down by 1.7% from the ports previous week projection.
Port has also reported that during last week, 30 vessels entered at port for loading with average waiting time of 1.94 days. Whereas, just preceding week 32 vessels entered at port with average waiting time of 1.70 days.
As on 20 Jan 2014, 8 vessels had loaded Coal at port, 2 vessels were waiting to load and 16 vessels were expected to reach at port.
