Durgapur pig iron offers increased by INR 400-500/t to INR 25,100-25,400/t against INR 24,600-800/t ex-plant, yesterday due to supply shortage & rising billet prices. Recently, about 25,000 t pig iron export deal has been reported by a private producer to China, which seems to be a major factor behind reduced supply in the local market. However, it could not be confirmed till the time of publishing.
