A recent tender of 30,000 t blooms (150mm) floated by an Indian state-owned steelmaker, was reported to have fetched bids higher by $5-10/t, against the last tender. According to sources, tender received a response from eight companies and the highest bid being noted at around $390-395/t, FOB India.
