The largest steel producer in the MENA region, Iran’s Mobarakeh Steel Company churned out 4.72 mn t of output in the March 20-June 20 quarter that includes 2.12 mn t of finished products and 2.6 mn t of semis. According to worldsteel data, Iran’s crude steel production rose 30% in 2019 against an average global growth of 3.5%.
