Bangladesh: Grenade recovered from imported scrap cargo at BSRM mill

A live grenade was recovered from iron scrap at leading Bangladeshi steelmaker BSRM’s factory in Chittagong which was later defused by Chittagong Metropolitan Police. BSRM authorities told the police that it could have come with the ferrous scrap consignments recently imported from Japan that were unloaded at Chittagong Port between June 21 and July 1.
