Pig iron prices continued to remain strong in West Bengal & Jharkhand due to supply shortage on immediate delivery. A producer in Bokaro reported over 2,000t deals at INR 24,200/t, while in Durgapur firm inquiries were reported at INR 24,300-400/t, however, producers are not looking to deal at below INR 24,500/t; EXW. Recent RSP’s auction also fetched bids higher by INR 350/t to INR 23,000-23,300/t EXW against previous auction.
