Ministry of Railways recently issued a circular for concession in freight charges in transportation of certain commodities. The ministry has offered a concession of 20% in the freight charges of coke and coal for a distance of more than 1400 km. The same for iron ore is 15% and 20% for more than 701-1500 km and more than 1600 km, respectively.
