JSW starts operations at four mining blocks in Odisha

JSW Steel has started operations at four of its mining blocks (Nuagaon, Narayanposhi, Jajang and Ganua) in Odisha state from 1 Jul’20. These blocks have over 1 bn t of reserves and were earlier operating with environmental clearance to produce upto 29.3 mn t annually. JSW expects to meet majority of its iron ore requirements from these mines reducing its dependency over merchant miners.
