SAIL has recorded highest ever sales figures for the month of June. Total sales stood at 1.27 mn t in the month – 18% higher than sales recorded in Jun’19. Improved domestic demand and buoyancy in the economy are being attributed as reasons for record sales, with the PSU steelmaker slowly scaling up capacity utilisation with recovery in steel consumption.
