SAIL conducted auction for 3,000t steel grade pig iron auction yesterday from its Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). The auction received good participation as entire martial booked at INR 23,050-23,200/t EXW. The auction fetched good response due to supply shortage as one of the producers in Raipur still not offering pig iron in spot market, while offers from outside are not much attractive.
