SAIL’s Bhillai Steel Plant (BSP) has commenced production of corrosion-resistant European grade vanadium rail tracks at its Universal Rail Mill for high-speed trains thereby becoming the first European grade tracks manufacturer in India. BSP is manufacturing R-260 grade tracks that, apart from increasing the load-bearing capacity of the Railways, will improve longevity and drastically reduce maintenance costs.
