Union Minister of Petroleum and National Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan launched Asia’s first continuous galvanised rebar (CGR) production facility set up by the Madav KGR Group at Gobindgarh in Punjab. Pradhan said galvanised steel will make the country’s infrastructure more durable and sustainable with the 30,000 t plant marking a new phase of expansion in the recyclable metals market.
