Brazil, the world’s one of largest semi finished exporter, has marked a fall in its monthly Semi finished exports, according to custom data maintained by SteelMint.
The country has exported about 0.68 mn t Semi finished (slab & pig iron) in May’20, declined by 16.9% as against 0.81 mn t in Apr’20. In addition to this exports of iron ore has seen a drop of 10.1%, whereas finished flat exports have gained to 0.24 mn t in May’20, an increase of about 20% as against 0.20 mn t in Apr’20.
Following are the statistics:-
— Iron ore monthly exports have slightly fallen by 10.1% to 21.58 mt t from 24.01 mn t in Apr’20.
— Brazilian ferro alloy exports increased by 152% to 0.19 mn t in May’20 as against 0.07 mn t in Apr’20.
— Finished long steel exports have increased by 63.4% m-o-m to 0.09 mn t in May’20.
