In a recent performance test conducted jointly by SAIL team and Danieli Corus, the BF1 of Rourkela Steel Plant achieved daily productivity rate of 3,415 t, which is 27% above set target. This is also an all-time record since its initial blow-in 2018. With this and two other furnaces, RSP has doubled its annual saleable steel output to 4 mn t from 1.7 mn t.
