SAIL conducted auction today for 1,000t basic grade pig iron from Kolkata’s BSO & for 8,550t from Bokaro steel plant. Bid prices for BSO stood at INR 19,000/t, while in Bokaro bids fetched were at INR 22,500/t for 5,700t out of offered qty. The bids are yet to be approved by SAIL. Current offers for pig iron by private mills in Durgapur is hovering at INR 23,000-23,400/t EXW.
